The holiday house is built upon the idea of slow, laid-back summer living, and encourages mindful connection with friends and the freedom to exist peacefully in traditional and rustic village surroundings. Form follows design and function, as every space becomes another opportunity for rest, reflection and exploration.
Created in partnership with some of Greece’s respected and visionary interior designers and architects, the villa offers to the guests all the beauty, simplicity and premium attention to detail, balanced with the traditional elements of the Mediterranean island.
Suitable for a group of four, the house is located in the historical village of Gerani Rethymno and offers a unique minimalistic Mediterranean style and design accompanied by high-end designer decorations.
The space
The master bedroom is located on the first floor and is a true sanctuary of relaxation. With its original exposed beams, the room features a queen-size bed, a TV for entertainment, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower for added convenience. For those seeking a truly intimate experience, the balcony boasts a built-in lounger and a jacuzzi where guests can soak and unwind while having a sip of their favourite champagne or wine.
The second bedroom is a true masterpiece of modern design. With its king-size bed and main wall made entirely of glass, it allows natural light to pour in, highlighting the sleek and stylish minimal furnishings. A skylight above adds to the room’s airy and spacious feel, making it the perfect place to wake up and start the day.
Casa Feliz Crete is designed with comfort and luxury in mind, and this is reflected in the choice of bedding materials. They are made from a combination of linen and cotton, two natural and breathable fabrics that ensure a comfortable and restful sleep. Linen is known for its ability to wick away moisture, making it ideal for warmer climates or for those who tend to get hot during the night. Cotton, on the other hand, is soft and durable, ensuring a cozy and comfortable sleeping experience. The materials
Key to the character of the house is the palette of traditional materials such as stone and wood that have been applied and engineered with contemporary techniques to create unique Mediterranean architecture that bridges heritage and locality with contemporary life.
Part of the original hand-built stone walls, are still standing sharply confident and the floors have undergone micro-cementing to create a tactile sensation when walking barefoot.
Ultimately, the customised oak furniture along with the rattan touches has been engineered to provide chic and luxury feeling while the high-end decorative pieces enrich the design and give a sense of contemporary summer living.
